PGA Tour Canada Member Matt Hoemann becomes our latest ambassador.
Matt is a two time All-American who played golf at Central Missouri University & lead his team to 2 x 2nd place finishes.
Matt was the top division 2 player based on his Golf Stat Rankings with 2 x individual wins in College.
He turned bro straight out of college back in 2022 and has been busy on mini tour circuit, Monday Qualifiers & Q Schools.
He successfully gained conditional status on PGA Tour Canada earlier this year and starts his campaign this week at Uplands Golf Club in British Columbia.
Matt came across Eagle Apparel through his teammate in college Lee Betteridge & loved the products & the way they fit properly.
“I’ve always had to adjust my golf clothing to make it fit me, constantly pulling up sleeves & rolling up my shorts. With Eagle products they just fit correctly & the fabrics feel amazing. Lightweight, breathable & stretchy, perfect for us on tour.”

Liam Robinson Wins Clutch Pro Tour @ Heythrop Park

Robbo Wins By 3 Shots
This week the Clutch Pro Tour saw their Tier 2 Event being hosted at the stunning Heythrop Park Golf Course.Â
Our ambassadors Liam Robinson, Alex Belt & Ryan Harmer were all teeing it up in testing conditions which only saw 3 of the whole field under par after round 1. Liam & Alex were tied on Even Par going into day 2.Â
Alex hurt is neck in the warm up which meant he wasn’t at full fitness for the second round but the true gritty pro he is saw him finish T10 including 2 x Eagles.Â
But the day was taken by Liam who was playing at his home club this week. His super impressive 66 (-6) was the low round of the week and blew the field away to win by 3 clear shots.Â
A massive congratulations to Liam on his win, lets hope the positive performances continue for all the ambassadors.Â
We caught up with Liam last week and will be launching our first “Players Series” videos with him on our YouTube channel this Friday …Â SUBSCRIBE
A common question I get asked is “how much fluid should we be taking during a round of golf?”. Obviously this is dependent on the length of the course, duration of the round and temperature we’re playing in but a good rule of thumb is around 2liters of water for 18 holes.
We should also be looking at the quality of water/fluid we are taking in too. Sports drinks that contain electrolytes can really help with replacing the body with minerals that we lose during exercise. I use the electrolyte tablets from Kinetica which dissolve into my 2L drink, this helps replenish my body allowing me to perform better, stay more focused during the round but also helps me recover better post round.
This week saw 3 of our UK ambassadors battle it out on the Clutch Pro Tour in the event at Luton Hoo Golf Club. Liam Robinson, Alex Belt & Ryan Harmer all tee’d it up in the first Tier 2 event which has some fantastic opportunities to progress up the professional golf ladder with some good results.Â
It was great to see It was great to see all 3 players in the red numbers after round 1. Ryan -4, Liam -3 & Alex -1 🙌🏻
Onto day two & with both Liam & Ryan both at -6 and within 3 shot of the lead with a drivable par 4 & 2 x Par 5’s to come they were both in the mix.
Unfortnately, both dropped shots in the middle of the back 9 which took them out of contention but a strong Birdie, Birdie, Birdie finish for Robbo gave him a Top 5 finish 🤌🏼
Special mention for Ryan who recorded his first Eagle in Eagle in competition & a solid week all in all🦅
We’re also really looking forward to seeing Alex Belt on the Clutch Tour throughout the season after dominating as normal in the North of England Pro events. Give him a follow to check out how he travels, sleeps at events in his super cool campervan!

How many times do we come in after a round of golf and talk about the if only, the could have and then should have been’s? We all do it after nearly every game! Try this after each round and I promise your mindset will change!
Recently I was struggling with my golf game, not happy with the scores and I was letting off some steam in our golf group chat. One of my friends, Tom, replied and asked me to describe my best 3 shots that I’d hit that day. It took me by surprise at first but sure enough I started to think back through my round & I was really surprised at how hard it was to answer.
You would think by how upset I was with my round that it was tough to answer due to lack of shots to choose from but in fact it was the opposite. I was amazed at how many good shots I had hit despite the poor score. It was still actually tough to pick just 3 good shots I’d hit. It made me think about all the good shots in order to rank them. Realising there was lots of positives in that round of golf of which I wasn’t happy with.
This has really helped me change the way I evaluate my rounds. Although it’s good to know your weaknesses to help highlight areas to practice and improve, but by picking your best 3 shots, you go through and realise how good you can be and have been that day. It takes the emotion out of the round and put some positive perspective on it.
From now on in our group chat we automatically tell one another our score, quick evaluation but more importantly describe our 3 best shots to each other and it’s great! I would strongly recommend jotting these down in your post round notes or let your golf nerd pals know them, they will enjoy hearing about it I promise.

It was great to see so many people representing Eagle Apparel Golf on the day. We also saw a lot of our new Pimento Cheese Sandwich collection on show. The launch was well received and the feedback we had on the new collection was that it was so subtle not many realised that the icons on the clothing were the Pimento Pepper, Cheese, Masters Cup, and White Bread. You can see them below. The subtle touch makes for a clean design and is a nod to the famous Pimento Cheese Sandwich that you see being served at Augusta National in April.

It’s Masters week!! It’s that magical week where we fall in love with Golf all over again and immerse ourselves in all things Augusta which includes this Southern favourite The Pimento Cheese Sandwich. Check out the video & recipe below so you can make this delious snack whist you enjoy the action around Amen Corner this weekend ⛳
This infamous Masters’ favourite, The Pimento Cheese is truly such a simple recipe! It’s a matter of grating the Cheese, making sure to leave your Cream Cheese to soften (leave at room temperature for 30-60 minutes) and then mixing all the ingredients well! Spreading evenly on your White Bread & serving with a nice packet of crisps & a refreshing cold beverage of choice. If you want to keep it real Authentic then a an Arnold Palmer is the one. That is a Iced Tea mixed with Lemonade with an optional shot of Vodka if that’s a bit of you. It’s that simple but truly delicious!
We’d love to see your attempts at The Pimento Cheese Sandwich, please share with us:
We are very excited to announce our most recent player partnership with UK based Tour Professional, Ryan Harmer. The Isle of Wight born, right hander is a promising young player who is earning his stripes on the UK mini tours. Ryan is targeting some of the early season Clutch Pro Tour Events to help progress his career, with the upped purses and Challenge Tour starts up for grabs.
Ryan turned pro back in 2018 after a strong amateur career representing his county, Hampshire, and helping them to their county finals wins back in 2017. During his 5 years of a playing professional, Ryan has bags of experience playing on the Euro Pro, Clutch & Jamega Tours notching up some great finishes.
As with many aspiring professional golfers, funding is a huge sticking point whilst you learn your craft. Entry fee’s, practice, travel is very expensive especially when playing for the smaller purses on the very competitive mini tour circuit. Ryan has been pro active in the quest to self fund his career by creating his business, Tour Pro Experience. i

Why The Sandwich?
The Pimento Cheese Sandwich and it’s $1.50 price tag is so much more than just a great value snack at the tournament. It represents history, tradition. Something money can’t buy, which in the current golf climate seems to hold even more of a statement in 2023. This Southern American staple is a favourite in the summer months, washed down with a nice Iced Tea or Cold Beer.
The Polo Shirt.
Keeping in line with the traditional theme as mentioned in the concept, our 2 polo shirts come with our new and improved, 4 piece, firm collar. The body is sprinkled with the small motifs which are the main ingredients of the infamous sandwich; Pimento, Cheese, Bread & Green Beer Cup. Available in the Green and White colourways. – SHOP NOW
The Mid Layers.
As with the Polo Shirts, both the 1/4 Zip & Crew Neck Top’s feature our deconstructed Pimento Cheese Sandwich design in the Green colourway. The material is has great handle to touch, falls beautifully and yet technical/breathable to wear. Both include our new subtle Eagle branding tabs along with the classy embroidered badge in Gold. The Hoodie.
Taking some inspiration from the loopers uniforms on this one. The pure white with the pop of green on the chest just nods it’s head at the boiler suits, just like Hideki’s bagman back in 2021. Again the signature pattern makes an appearance with a perfect contrast on the inside panel of the hood.
A perfect way to round off all these outfit combinations is this timeless, classy white cap with the Eagle Logo matching in with the thread colour. This works with both the white and green body . Plus will tie in with any trouser/shoe combo you want to mix these items up with. We would stick with Black, Grey or a neutral Stone colourway if that’s a bit of you.
